every one loves a good slice of apple pie so why not turn it into mimi tarts...

Ingredients:

  • french pastry cream recipe - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SPmmRRX4_I

  • 2 and a half apples thinly sliced (granny smith is my favourite )

  • maple syrup (for brushing apples)

  • 2 sheets of rolled out puff pastry (they usually come in a pack with 2 )

Directions:

Thaw puff party according to box. Make french pastry cream following directions via youtube link, Once done set aside to cool. using a knife cut thawed puff party into 3 sections vertically, then do the same horizontally so that you end up with smaller rectangles.(as you can see in the pic above my cutting skills are definitely not on point) prick sheets with a fork . bake on a non greased baking sheet tell almost golden (don't over cook them you will put them back into the oven to cook the apples.) while the sheets are baking peel and cut your apples into thin slices and set aside. take out your puff pastry and let them cool slitty. place a tablespoon of cream into centre of rectangles. smooth outthink add your apples in a layer starting from the back ending in the front. brush with maple syrup and bake tell apples are semi soft. cool on a baking rack for 10 minutes.
